About Me

This site is dedicated to the work of teaching acting using online resources either as a medium or as a way of supporting your work in the studio. It’s based on the educational principles of Bloom’s Taxonomywhich offers a pyramid of categoric learning types that build toward the act of creativity. I think it’s a perfect fit for an approach to acting training. My personal preference is to combine activities scaffolded in this structure and infuse them with the guiding principles of constructivism. This theory holds that people learn by building a real place for new knowledge out of their understanding of past experiences. To me that wraps around the idea of creating a role very nicely. However you approach helping students achieve their goals as actors, I hope these resources are useful tools in leading them on that journey.
