There are as many approaches to rehearsal as there are directors who conduct them. Applying the ideas we develop about the text in script analysis is the next, critical cognitive step. It’s not necessarily an easy one. This is where technique becomes a huge part of the equation. Developing a common language for guiding technique is really the instructive goal. With that, we can make enormous strides with students of all levels.
